As you know, we are in the process of planning a program for women´s ministry at the Cordero de Dios church in Quito. We are very excited about the idea of being able to help families grow stronger through the growth of mothers and wives.
The pastor has asked us to kick off the women´s ministry with a women´s conference to be held at our church. Right now we are in the planning stages, asking God to direct us on a theme for the conference as well as speakers and activities.
After the conference we plan to start a weekly women´s meeting at church for Bible study and fellowship.
While we continue planning, we have begun to visit the women at their homes, to encourage them and get to know them better. Hopefully as our friendships grow, so will their desire to have fellowship with other women at the church.
The opportunity to work with women is a wonderful one because it opens doors for future ministries like intercession, children´s ministry and ministry to the sick and needy. Women are a great force in the church, and we can´t wait to see these women grow and take hold of what God has prepared for them.
